What I am about to say could be the shot that was heard around the universe, or it could be you making a momentary pause, as just some pastor in San Francisco to be forgotten in the passage of time. There is a film that is soon to be released in theaters, ” Tim’s Vermeer”. I’m going to see it on February 1, because I believe it is going to show us how “art” is the equation, and introduce us to the New Millennium Renaissance. But let me pause here and go back to the beginning of this story lest I get ahead of myself.
Last summer, in the month of August, the well-skilled prophet of God, Timothy Snodgrass, prophesied that God was going to release a New Renaissance in 2014. A month later I had a dream about some remodeling that is going on in our church. In the dream the Lord told me to gather all of our artists together and tell them that the artwork that was to be done on the temporary baptismal pool was to be “optically correct”.
I did not know exactly what this term meant, though I was familiar with optical illusions that occur in the film industry, which has been my field of experience. I did not know, however, what the term meant when it came to paintings. I then talked with Alexis Orth, the head of this project for our church, and she was also in a quandary as to what the Lord was identifying. As we moved in to the year 2014 the Lord told me to gather the artists together and to speak to them up about being “optically correct”. He also spoke to me about creating a “periodic table” to present to the artists.
Then, in the first week of January, the Lord said to me, “Richard, I have prepared a movie that will be shown on February 1. “Tell all My artists that they are to go to this movie and they will see My truth.” If you have been a frequent reader of my blogs, you are familiar with the Lord using metaphors that are in motion pictures to tell us incredibly wonderful biblical truths. At this point I had absolutely no clue what movie the Lord was talking about.
Then brother Sherwood Jansen, the principal of our Christian school, came to me and said that he had a gift that he felt the Lord had told him to give to me. It was a book written about Leonardo da Vinci, except the author was a physicist. The next day, as I started reading the book, I was shocked because the author’s research declared that the artwork of Leonardo Di Vinci was the key to the equations about future revelations that the ancient master had seen. He said that Leonardo da Vinci felt there was no language that he could use to adequately describe the wonderful things he was seeing in the future, so instead of using any known language to man he used his paintings of art to explain his complex equations.
As I contemplated these thoughts in my mind, I realized that there are some things that God wishes to communicate to us about the future and that there is no known language to express it, so the Lord is choosing the language of art. Think about it for a moment. I believe there are staggering advances that are about to occur in our lives as we have the spiritual doors open to the future. Things like antigravity devices travel from planet earth to distant galaxies in the matter of moments. I could go on and on about the revelations that are about to occur during this unique season of time.
Last Tuesday, as my son Sunny and I were having lunch in downtown San Francisco, I remembered that the Lord wanted us to visit a movie on February 1 but at that time I didn’t know what movies were being released. Sunny pulled out his iPhone and looked up the upcoming releases, and that’s when he saw the film “Tim’s Vermeer.” I was extremely excited because felt it was more than just a coincidence that the movie was about one of the painting masters of the Renaissance.
Timothy Snodgrass prophesied in 2009 that this day was coming and he asked me to take a photograph of people, that we were working with, holding two poles as painters before a canvas, and this photograph would become a prophetic sign of what God was going to do in the future. Here is that picture that was taken in 2009.
I have not previewed the film that is going to be released on February 1, but I am including the description of the film given by the studio producing it.
