A few nights ago my family and I were watching the 1940’s classic movie, “The Magic Bullet”, which stars Edward G. Robinson.  This story is about the frustration a chemist went through in finding the cure for syphilis.  The film emphasized the long laborious process of testing 605 unsuccessful antidotes in order to come to the one that finally brought the cure, called “606”.  The thing that moved me so much about the movie was the millions of lives that the magic bullet antidote saved through the years that have followed since.  That night, as I went to sleep, I did not know that God was getting ready to use my family and I to deliver a message to a modern-day scientist, who was also in the process of finding that “magic bullet.”Continue reading “The Magic Bullet”

We celebrate the birth of William and Kate’s newborn baby boy, Prince George Alexander Louis, but even more important is the prophetic symbol that this boy’s birth has presented to our future.  The name, George, comes from the Greek language and means earth-worker or farmer.  This name designates something about the young men and women who are currently being born, for the farmer (or the earth-worker) is the one who cares for the ground which hold the seeds that will grow into the future and bring us great prosperity and success.  All of us know how important farmers are to the continued prosperity of planet earth, but the significance of this little boy’s birth and the name he’s been given designates the task now upon him and shows the significance of his birth at this point in time.Continue reading “His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge; The Message Behind the Name”

The samurai warrior’s skill of wielding a sword is the greatest skill for him to acquire because it means life or death for him. I have discovered that the greatest skill for me to acquire as a man of God is the art of loving someone and this means life and death. To me the word death means the last 50 years of my normal life; the word life means the past year of daily experiencing the hearing of God’s voice rising up in my belly with exciting adventures everyday. Just thinking about each word He has spoken and fulfilled in my daily life in recent times causes spiritual adrenaline to quicken my whole body.Continue reading “How To Love Someone”

Yes, this blog is late, but what a perfect opportunity to ask a question; why do we feel that God is usually late when it comes to fulfilling our promise. I would say that this is the most common question that I have had placed to me in my multiple years of ministry and the answers to questions that are constantly asked.      There are times when you find someone so refreshingly wonderful that you have to go back five hundred years in history to spot a comparison, and this is a case proven I find in my friend, David Andrade.  The event that I am referring to in David Andrade’s life occurred just a few years ago and the comparable event in Martin Luther’s life was nearly five hundred years ago; I still feel the comparison applies.Continue reading “David Andrade, Martin Luther, Men That Change The World”

The purpose of Apple’s current iPhone IOS 7 upgrade is to make the actions of the interface as invisible and unobtrusive as possible ~ a process you are expecting your iPhone to do.  The same thing is occurring among Christianity.  God wants you, as a Christian, to be logged in ~ communicating directly to the Holy Spirit with as little interference, or could we say unneeded assistance from the local or international ministries you have previously depended on to help you be a better Christian. All such previously depended-upon functions were important in their time.  But now the Holy Spirit is upgrading our ability to listen to the voice of God every day.Continue reading “IS0 7 Metaphor Continued”

The Church, as you have traditionally known, is about to change.  Yes, the people of God are still going to meet together, and all of the traditional servant-leadership offices will continue to function.  But it’s going to be unnecessary, cumbersome, and incredibly bureaucratic to allow the humanly created organizational systems to continue to exist.  I am not writing to tear down the old.  I just want to share with you that what God is doing is fantastically new among us. The metaphor that God gave me to explain this phenomenon involves the iPhone IOS 7 release that is coming out this fall.  Continue reading “The iPhone IOS 7 – A Spiritual Metaphor To The World And Especially The Church”

There is something that happens when you shut the door on a car that has been built well. Though the incident is inconsequential, a person who recognizes quality gets a gratifying feeling when he hears that telltale, hand-in-glove-fit sound.  The same thing happens when you close a high quality cabinet door, when you hear the sealing of a bank vault, the quality says much more than the door itself because it makes a statement about the security of the entire operation. Continue reading “Living In Sync With The Holy Spirit”

A few weeks ago Sandy and I were walking through Home Depot because she mentioned that she wanted to get rid of the weeds that were growing in our back yard.  We talked with a couple of the local experts and decided upon a product that would take care of the weeds and would also help the healthy grass to grow.  Being faithful to the instructions, we put the product on the grass.  Today, as I was leaving the house, my son, Sunny, who had just finished watering the lawn, came up to me and said, “Dad, you know what?  The product you put on the grass really works.  But the reason our lawn still looks so bad is because it was mostly all weeds and there wasn’t much grass there.  So, in essence, everything had to die.” Continue reading “Weed & Feed, Let The Old Man Die”

When I was a young man I used to dream about having the “perfect day”, and many times I almost achieved it.  But for some reason it would always be snatched from me at the last minute.  After years of experiencing this I began to lower my mental expectations and think that maybe a 20% success rate in a day would have to suffice as the equivalent of a perfect day.  For pretty much the main part of my adult life I have learned to rejoice, be happy, dance in internal ecstatic celebration at the small percentage of my day being perfectly equated to a whole day being perfect.  I figured this was also the norm for most of the successful people in the world.  Continue reading “A Perfect Day”
