How Prophetic Acts Work

Note: For the last 3 1/2 years my family has been praying for America and the nations. The following story has to do with current events in the news, and it’s important to mention that we do not have opinions about these world events. I am concerned that Heaven’s will is done, which is beyond our human understanding.
A prophetic act is something you do because the Lord has instructed you to do it. Your simple obedience to His word in doing the action causes things to happen in the world around you. Prophetic acts are found throughout many stories in the Bible. For example, God told Joshua to march around the city once with all the armed men for six days. On the seventh day, they were to march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing ram’s horns. After a long blast on the trumpets, the whole army was instructed to shout. Miraculously the walls of Jericho fell down, giving  them 100% access to the city.
More examples of this divine interaction between man and God are in the New Testament. As Jesus commanded people to do simple things, great miracles happened; like when the blind man was told (after Jesus put mud on his eyes) to go wash in the pool of Salome and his eyes would be opened. The man did that simple action in obedience, and the miracle occurred because of that “prophetic act”.
Here is a current example of how this still works. On Saturday, December 28, 2019, while we were praying with intercessors live on Periscope, the Lord showed me a large blanket being put across the Middle East. This blanket was very powerful because it was going to soak up the fire of the war that satan was trying to rage in the Middle East. As we continued to pray, the Lord spoke to me to instruct intercessors on Periscope, as a prophetic act, to put an extra blanket upon their beds that night before they went to sleep. God only knew what Heaven’s response would be to this simple prophetic  act done in obedience to God‘s word.
One of the faithful intercessors was shocked when she heard this word because her husband, who does not watch Periscope, had actually told her that morning, “Honey, I think we should put an extra blanket on our bed today.” When she heard this prayer on Periscope she knew it was a confirmation. That night, everyone in our family put an extra blanket on their beds.
In the wee hours of Sunday morning, December 29th (by the way, this was the precise two-year anniversary of my daughter Misty’s death and resurrection in Rome, Italy) I woke up and looked down at the blanket that was upon our bed, and saw a vision of explosions and smoke coming through the blanket in multiple areas. After an hour of prayer, I went back to sleep and woke up with the Sunday morning news reporting that five major strongholds of terrorist groups in the Middle East had been destroyed during the night by U.S. drone strikes!
As we have entered into the new year of 2020, the news is declaring World War III is about to be launched in the Middle East. We continue to pray with intercessors on Periscope that the work of the blankets is completed. On January 8, I had another vision while praying on Periscope. This one was of a huge dragon that rose out of the Middle East and was puffing up it’s chest with fluid fire blowing out of it’s mouth, causing the fire of war to explode. As I looked at this vision I said in my spirit, “What should I do, God?”
The Lord then whispered to me, “Blow air out of your mouth at the television screen, newspaper, radio, and any other media sources that speak the words of that “dragon”. Immediately in my prayer I did this simple act and blew air at the vision I saw. I was amazed as instantly this terrible-looking dragon began to burn up and shrivel like a piece of confetti paper, and became nothing. It didn’t even leave any smoke residue! I realized that this was a prophetic act that was simple, yet powerful. I shared the simple obedience of doing the Lord‘s will with the intercessors who were praying on Periscope that day. Replay it when you can!
Breaking stories are all over the news and you can make the connections yourself. Prophetic acts like these are very fuzzy; Heaven is only asking for our permission for these events to change. I do want to increase your faith in the power of prayer. Though I don’t hold the office of a prophet, I am a pastor and an intercessor. The gift of prophecy operates through us, and the only way we can test whether it is of God, is if we declare an event before it actually happens. I mentioned the Periscope videos so you can see all of the events which were spoken to us by the Lord through prayer before the events occurred in the news.
The December 29th vision happened precisely on the two-year anniversary of my daughter Misty’s death and resurrection in Rome. This miracle dramatically changed all five members of our immediate family. We personally witnessed God completely healing Misty. We learned through that physical experience, the importance of obedience to God‘s simple instructions.
I am praying that each of you who are intercessors will take time to rehearse and remember the incredible miracles that are happening right before our eyes, and God’s ability to extinguish the fires of war. May your faith be increased to a level that leads you into perfect obedience to His voice, and also to a place where you will not listen to any other voice but that of the Good Shepherd.
