Monday Morning Blog: “The Nine Fruits Of The Spirit: Applications To Give You Access To The Galaxies”

To understand how the application called peace operates, you must understand that the presence of its power is used to completely control a situation. The power of peace allows multiple opposing forces to synchronize. Many times in my own household, when my wife Sandy was alone with the children, there were situations where things got a little out of control. This would change as soon as Sandy said, “Dad’s coming home.” The intense argument between the siblings would immediately calm down. When I came home from work the children would be extremely peaceful, even though I would still have to deal with the earlier conflict that had transpired.
Peace does not mean the absence of conflict. Instead, peace is the presence of power. During the Cold War between Russia and the United States, there was immense tension and constant conflict. Russia had amassed a huge army of spies that had clandestinely placed agents into the high offices of Europe and the United States. During this time there was little peace and world tension was so high that the most popular timepiece looked at by the people of the world was the “doomsday clock”, ticking closer every day to the explosion of midnight.
Two basic things ended the tension. Ronald Reagan was given a secret list, which included the complete list of 250 KGB officers stationed under legal cover in embassies around the world, and they were able to be arrested in less than a week. Around this same time Reagan launched the Strategic Defense Initiative, or the “Star Wars” space defense system. This presence of the United States’ power literally caused the Iron Curtain around the Communist nations to dissolve into ashes.
This is a vivid example of how peace was achieved on a world-wide basis. It also explains how the application of peace works inside of your human interface. The presence of God is a force of power that can control every thing that affects you personally today, yesterday, and forever. If we let Him, He’ll synchronize everything around us and give us perfect peace.
When I was a young man I used to drive large 40-foot-long buses with huge diesel engines shifted by gearboxes that had to be hand-synchronized by the driver. This was called “double clutching”. Here is a simple explanation of the process: the engine would be going fast in a low gear and the gears would be spinning quickly. When I went into a higher gear the engine would need to go slowly as it pulled the bus into the higher gear. This required me to let out the clutch and use the slowing of the engine to wind the heavy gears down so they would be going the same speed as the engine. This physical synchronization by the driver required some skill. The more skilled the driver was, the smoother the ride. God moves in our lives in this same way, and allows the application of peace to smooth out changing of gears, like the transmission of promotion for instance.
Many of you reading this today have been studying the principles of the Holy Spirit App Store and know there are multiple applications that will be running at the same time as the application of peace. Kindness and temperance are two powerful applications, which can make the transition that peace is bringing you through even smoother. The prophet Isaiah put it this way: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee”. Isaiah says peace is a result of a person’s mind being stayed constantly upon the Lord.
I call this running an internal “God-filter”. Imagine having a pair of very stylish God-filter glasses that you wear as you look at life. If you sense in the slightest way that God doesn’t approve, you simply look away, wipe the dust off your feet, and move on to something that is pleasing to your God-filter glasses. At first this may sound unusual, but believe me, I’ve found it’s the only way to live. As we do this we will find that every day, hour, minute, and even every second is an incredible celebration of peace.
The presence of such tranquility in your mind and spirit free you for innovation and expansion. Now that we are discovering the true source of the Creator ~ the source of His perfection must be big! This is why the source of our obedience to His original word “to be fruitful and multiply” is so vitally important. As we let God direct our lives, we will achieve an endless supply of perfect wonderment.
Allow God’s perfect peace to synchronize your daily life. It’s incredible how you will find pleasure in this godly perfection. Jesus said these words, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Something that I have personally noticed among my wealthy friends is their enjoyment of things that operate in perfect synchronization. For example, I admire the Rolls Royce and its handcrafted perfection. I have watched over the years as this majestic machine continues to increase in value. I can assure you, God Himself admires this type of quality and perfection.
Throughout the Bible, when a man’s life was perfectly synchronized with the Lord, God blessed him with all the things that wealthy people enjoy. Our desire to be wealthy is not wrong. In fact, it is very, very right! We need to realize that perfect peace is the doorway to it. It’s up to you and I to let peace synchronize our lives completely.
