I am writing this blog on 12/12/12. Because you are spiritually sensitive I am sure you are well aware of this date and it’s spiritual significance. Jesus choose twelve apostles, the New Jerusalem has twelve gates and is built on twelve foundations. The Lord has spoken an important word to us and said we would be changing from a “penetrating” mode to an “establishing” mode of operation. This word was given to us by Harold Eberle on May 28, 2000, where God said, “You penetrated the area I wanted you to penetrate and you have succeeded, but it’s just not for your success. There will be two, two other significant ministries that are going to rise under the penetration that you made… I will change you from penetrating in that area, to establishing and building the foundation of which I spoke to you.” I believe this prophecy is very significant because it is coming to pass even today as I write this blog.
In Isaiah 28:13, the Lord spoke, “But the word of the Lord was to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” This prophecy talks about the simple way God gives His prophetic words. Jesus referred to it as “speaking to little children” and “hiding it from the wise and prudent”. That is why when God gives us revelation we must go directly to a straightforward and simple way to understand it.
Let us return to the word that Harold Eberle gave over a decade earlier. He talked about us changing from penetrating to establishing. In the natural many of us can look at the current status of things in our lives and pretty much say the decks have been cleared of all wealth, and we have found ourselves in various states of necessity. But isn’t this the perfect place to be if you are preparing to lay a foundation? If you were going to build a grand castle, you know you must first dig deep into the earth so the foundation is stable and the structure will be able to survive multiple assaults by natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, or enemy attacks by those who would be hostile to your dwelling place. God has prepared us in the Church for this type of establishing. I personally believe that the Lord is laying the groundwork us for the millennium reign of Christ, and it is very vital for there to be a phase of time when Christians realize that their roots need to go deep into the earth.
Many things around us in the natural world have spoken to us concerning the need for a strong foundation for the Church and also for America. For example, over the last forty to fifty years America has faced continuous crisis of running out of oil. In the 1970’s I remember lines for gas that were blocks long at pump stations in our city. We have been constantly told by the mass media that the United States is running out of oil supplies, while at the same time we have had extreme environmental groups forcing us to close down oil exploration and any hope we might find an answer to our desperate need for energy. Despite this bleak situation, in early 2000 the prophets began to speak concerning an abundance of energy that would be found in America. One prophet said that soon America would be completely energy independent of all sources of foreign oil. Wow!
At the time the prophecy seemed too good to be true. But today the United States Department of Energy has proudly proclaimed that, due to the new exploration technique of oil fracking, America has discovered the largest oil supply in the earth right under its feet, encapsulated inside shale rocks ~ which have been the foundation of this country all along. The United States has just confirmed that by the year 2020, it will be completely energy independent. I feel this is a sign showing us that America is ready for the longest string of prosperity that this nation has ever experienced. This time of peace and prosperity will happen because Christ is building a foundation in His church with parapets that will last throughout the ages. No, Christianity is not diminishing, but it is establishing a permanent and lasting foundation in this land.
This brings me to the main subject of this blog. To lay a firm foundation you must dig deep into the earth. How far you go depends on how tall the structure is to rise above the earth. Deep foundations for a castle mean grandiose parapets. This is the reason God is calling us to secrecy. You will find many of the foundational moments in the lives of great men of God happened in secret. The child Moses was hid for three months, that he not be discovered and killed by the Egyptians: “The woman conceived, and bore a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him for three months.” We find the same scenario at the birth of Jesus: “And when the wise men departed, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, ‘Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: For Herod would seek the young child and destroy him.’”
A few weeks ago in our Sunday service at “A Place To Meet Jesus”, a young prophet prophesied to the church and declared, “You have conquered Goliath and this victory makes you feel like it is time to rejoice and declare the goodness of God. But the Lord is telling you, ‘Do not do this because it is time for you to go into hiding from King Saul.’” I believe this prophecy was referring metaphorically to the life of David and how that immediately after slaying Goliath, David’s name was sung in the streets with a simple jingle that declared that Saul had killed his thousands but David had killed his ten thousands. David did not realize that the little jingle would cause immense jealousy in King Saul and he would attempt to kill David on numerous occasions. Pretty much from then on, until David was finally established as king, he would spend hiding out. This was a time when David’s life and integrity would be embedded in the hearts and minds of the people of Israel ~ who saw David’s integrity as he dealt justly with both enemies and friends while in the secrecy of hiding from King Saul.
Many of us that have God’s call upon our lives are about ready to enter into a period of establishment, building the foundational structures of our future relationships, our future wealth, our future heritage, and our own futures. For me personally, I am surprised at some of the things God is having me work on. For example, the Lord is having me learn penmanship all over again, like I did when I was in elementary school. Watch God, He may also speak to you personally on some unusual foundational thing that He is teaching you ~ and to do it all over again. This is not you going backwards. Instead, you will establish again a deep foundation on the Rock, Christ Jesus. And most of this will be done in secret…
