It’s stunning to see how small things can bring about incredible dramatic changes. I believe we are about ready to see an overwhelming transformation in the area that the world calls “news”. Currently most people are obsessed with the tornado that is surrounding politics and world economics. I admit this interest should take precedence, and is truly orchestrated by God, but the subject that I am looking at is…What is next? What will be the new the interest that is going to catch wind in people’s everyday conversations?
Currently there have been controversies surrounding disparate treatment of race and social status, and to what extent the government owes you something. This is because there are strong forces that feel these controversies can be used to establish their own selves in secure positions of leadership. At the same time there are opposing forces that are introducing unity, love, and the importance of the government getting out of our lives. There are two things that happen during a transition period like this. First there is judgment, yet simultaneously there is a reward.
An example of this would be when a suspect is apprehended. The convicted criminal is punished, while at the same time the police officer is rewarded with recognition. In the spiritual world this equates to Satan being condemned and his plans dissolved, while God’s people are favorably judged and rewarded for their obedience to the word of God. This kind of phenomenon is going to be repeated in the distribution of worldwide news.
Too often we are seeing cronyism, back-room deals, and various forms of cheating being exposed. For example, in the Olympics, badminton participants from several countries were eliminated from the London games because they were purposely losing certain matches in order to play easier opponents later. It is tragic that much of this kind of thing is also going on in the political arena. In the next few months leading up to the November election, broadcasters will undoubtedly expose new layers of cronyism (favoritism shown to old friends without regard to their qualifications) that has existed for decades in American politics.
However, God also has an incredible plan for the world’s future, and that is the millennium reign of His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible declares that Christians are the body of Jesus in the world today. It’s time for that body to be rewarded and fulfill God’s purposes in the earth. I am telling all of you to take your focus off the criminals who are being exposed in the courtrooms, and concentrate on the police officers ~ who’s jobs are to protect and serve. Think what police departments would do if all the criminals were locked up and put out of business. WOW! Wouldn’t society be a wonderful place? Excuse me, but I am just childlike enough to think that this is possible.
At the birth of the Presbyterian revival in West Virginia, America saw this phenomenon, where the most criminally prevalent place in America, Rogue Alley, was converted to Christianity through Presbyterian “camp meetings”. This was the first time in United States history where judges, courts and lawyers were literally put out of business. Not only were there no criminal cases, but there were also not any confrontational civil cases. People just got along and lived in perfect harmony. This unprecedented period of bliss lasted for three whole years. But I guess the most memorable part of this historic event was that it showed that such a thing actually could happen!
What do I see replacing, or drastically changing, today’s news? What if so many good things started happening that even liberal newscasters felt compelled to report on them? How many of you remember, or have read about, when the Apollo Moon Landing dominated all the time on the news broadcasts? It did more than give people something to talk about. At that unique moment in time the news, instead of discouraging everyone, actually released enough faith to crash walls of impossibility that surrounded billions of people on the planet. It’s no wonder that citizens from all over the world desired to move to the United States. It is here that their impossible dreams can be given opportunities to live.
News, instead of being psychologically destructive, can actually become the seeds and environment of prosperity. America and other countries winning gold medals is news, and cheating is also news. I sense that the more cheaters (I am not talking about people, but spirits) are locked up, the more we are free to dream through impossibilities. When the Chinese swimmer Yu broke the women’s speed record, and swam faster even than the men, she was accused, in a knee jerk reaction by a USA Team captain, of cheating. This is because the spirit of cheating happens even in the Olympics.
Michael Phelps’ coach removed a lot of the doubt when he essentially said, “Look at the young girl’s hands, they are huge. God gave this young girl large hands and it has worked to her advantage. My athlete, Michael Phelps, also was given an unusual body. His legs are short and his arms are three inches longer than anyone else’s in the sport. This allowed him to break all of the records in history and win more medals that any other Olympian.” As soon as I heard the coach’s comments my troubled spirit was replaced by joy in knowing that God created this young Chinese woman to break world records.
The purpose of this blog is to ask you to change focus, to look in another direction, and take your eyes off of God’s judgment of evil. Instead, look at God’s bright future. To accomplish this process, the only environment that you need to have in your mind is the spirit of peace. It’s no wonder the Bible talks about, “peace that passes all understanding”. All around us voices are screaming judgment against this politician, that company; this pastor, that church. But you must lock these negative voices from your spirit and heart and plug into Jesus, who is the center of the universe. Read the last few verses of:

13-16I’m sure that you’ve heard the story of my earlier life when I lived in the Jewish way. In those days I went all out in persecuting God’s church. I was systematically destroying it. I was so enthusiastic about the traditions of my ancestors that I advanced head and shoulders above my peers in my career. Even then God had designs on me. Why, when I was still in my mother’s womb he chose and called me out of sheer generosity! Now he has intervened and revealed his Son to me so that I might joyfully tell non-Jews about him.
16-20Immediately after my calling—without consulting anyone around me and without going up to Jerusalem to confer with those who were apostles long before I was—I got away to Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus, but it was three years before I went up to Jerusalem to compare stories with Peter. I was there only fifteen days—but what days they were! Except for our Master’s brother James, I saw no other apostles. (I’m telling you the absolute truth in this.)
21-23Then I began my ministry in the regions of Syria and Cilicia. After all that time and activity I was still unknown by face among the Christian churches in Judea. There was only this report: “That man who once persecuted us is now preaching the very message he used to try to destroy.”
It is at this point you will begin to hear God’s fresh words for the day. Yes, this is that pearl of great price, that treasure in a field, that thing that caused the merchant man to sell everything and buy. It is the success that you have waited for your whole life. The prophets have said that the next eighteen months could determine the next millennium for your family. Yes, I believe it is that dramatic. Remember, when the compass moves just a small bit on the dial, a ship’s destination changes dramatically over the next six or seven thousand miles of sailing. So it is, that the smallest decision can end up blessing your family’s future enormously. The next eighteen months is the period of time that God has chosen to pour out His wonderful changes upon the earth!
There have been many events that have lead up to this momentous time, such as the “A Line In The Sand” event, which happened on 11-11-11. During the three year period of time, from 2010 to 2013, God seems to be emphasizing the number “eleven”. Eleven is interpreted as standing for the end of something. Many prophets believe it also refers to God’s judgment and His purpose of ending the reign of evil in society. It also is a time for His children to turn their faces to Christ Himself, for each of us to listen to His voice and what He is asking us to do ~ in the Spirit of love, joy and peace. And remember, the greatest of these…is love. So my advice to you is, it’s time to giggle your way into a loving and peaceful future…
