The premise that I wish for you to consider is that the Scripture tells us, “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” If our body is the temple, then the temple is complete when the presence of God is in us. Because of this I have discovered that every day when I wake up in the morning I seek the presence of God to enter into my body, which is His temple, and I begin the day in perfect alignment with God‘s purpose in me.
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
How important is perfection? What is God’s view of perfection? This is not man’s view of perfection. God‘s view of perfection is much more complex because it not only deals with being perfect in obedience and fulfillment, but in our attitude and intentions at the moment we encounter specific situations. All of this is covered by our innocence in our obedience.
Another way of looking at this is as a father who looks at his beloved son, and sees in his son a complete reflection of himself. As the father is perfect, his reflection results in the father realizing that his son is perfect. This is how God looks upon us each and every day. Our own obedience to His voice is what leads to His pleasure at our perfection.
I have realized over the years when God’s presence enters into His temple, it is a sign that He is pleased with our level of perfection. As our own obedience draws His presence, so His glory shows up in us. This is how to experience heaven on earth, and why our daily goal should be His presence.
The true treasure chest of experience you can open each and every morning is in the wee hours of dawn when you find yourself awake but you haven’t yet opened your eyes. As you lay in bed, try to remember the dreams regarding the things that God spoke to you in the night. Rehearse them in your mind even before you open your eyes, and mull over the details. Many times you’ll find that as you think about the details, you will see even deeper into the experience God gave you in your dreams.
As you fully awaken, take the time to write down what you have just seen. With today’s modern technology you can literally speak it into your phone, which will then type it all out for you. Whatever method you use, make sure you make a record of it. This becomes a treasure ~ and might even be a map to the treasures that God has waiting for you in your life experiences!
Next, take time to pray about your dream and ask God questions about anything that you don’t understand: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and upbraideth not.” You will be amazed at how patient and kind God is with the wisdom He shares with you!
