Believe

For what saith the Scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Many times this year I’ve faced the stark truth that is in this Scripture.

What makes this Scripture so important is that it is not what Abraham built, or what he did, or what he was, but is what he chose to believe. The amazing part of this truth is that God looks at what you believe internally, that means in the thoughts and intents of your heart, and determines if you are righteous or not.

Coming to this basic truth can be a revelation that can greatly affect and determine your future. This is because you realize you are walking down the road where every footstep is monitored and measured by someone. Of course if you are a Christian this is some of the best news you could ever hear!

You are striving to do right and it feels like everything and everybody is stacked up against you. Then suddenly you realize that God is watching your every move, every thought, every little detail of your existence ~ and is making His decision if you are righteous and fully qualified for the blessing that He is promising you.

Wow! This is fantastic! This is miraculous! Because you’re not alone! You are being watched! And the reward is secure because you “believe.”
