Threading the Needle of Faith

My sweet darling wife Sandy is working on a cross stitch, using different pleasantly-colored thread, to create an intricate picture of a home for the celebration of Christmas. Our family is in the prayer pod (our van) going from city to city praying for America. I’ve noticed that sometimes the needlework becomes very tedious for Sandy, as she labors with the sewing needle and thread while we are traveling.

Suddenly the Lord spoke to me and said, “The intricate journey of faith I’m calling you, and all the people faith, on right now ~ is like threading the needle of faith through the hidden riches that will add no sorrow and create a tapestry of God’s beauty.”
One day at a time. When you are designing a beautifully detailed picture in needle stitch, the only way you can complete all its complexities ~ is to perform it one small section at a time. This is how Sandy has been working on her bigger picture ~ mastering each minuet stitch one-by-one.
Instead of talking about some grand plan, looking for some sign, or worrying about how you’re going to accomplish that overwhelming thing~ just take one day at a time in perfect obedience. Focus on doing that one simple small stitch.
If you simply keep your eyes peeled to the original vision that God gave you at the beginning of your journey, you will see that the day-to-day small little stitches are at the heart of that great masterpiece!
