When I wake up at dawn and watch the beautiful display of the golden sunrise, there’s one thing I can’t stand ~ and that is lukewarm coffee when I start the day. When that coffee or tea is steaming hot, it says to me more than what appears on the surface. When it’s freshly brewed, its smell brings back the fragrant memories of the oolong tea fields in the hills of Taiwan; or the coffee fields of Costa Rica. Seen scientifically as an adult it means I’m going to see an “event horizon,” but as a giggling child it’s “Christmas every day!”
What we all love about God is that He also hates lukewarmness: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” If you read further in the book of Revelation, you can see that it applies to our country right now: “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
America has spent money like it is rich, and does not see that it is $21 trillion in debt ~ and is blind, poor, and naked. But the amazing thing is, that the answer for America is to “go for the gold” ~ a vision of greatness the changes us ~ and not more lukewarmness.
The current leadership is “lukewarm,” because for the last few number of years they have done little to fix America’s problems. This spirit of compromise of inactivity has troubled Americans. But the Lord gave us the solution for this generation when He said, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”
I pray, in the name of Jesus, that “your eyes are opened and you can now see.” Remember, because the Lord likes it hot, He wants you to be a winner, He wants you to have the best! Now is not the time to pray lukewarm prayers or believe God for safe, comfortable, predictable and casually-expected visions. Go for gold! I’m believing God for $60 million just to remodel our church, and $2 billion to begin our movie industry vision, and Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay to become a major theme park! To the average man all this may look impossible, but with God all things are possible!
The Lord told me on January 20, 2017, that the next president of the United States will declare, “America is a Christian nation!” Now that’s a steaming hot cup of coffee in the morning ~ as we watch the greatest “event horizon” unfold!
