The Battle For Your Faith

Sometimes we do not recognize how important the battle of faith is for our futures. The reason God sends prophetic words, dreams, and different messages to us is to release His word of faith in our hearts ~ so you can see how good the future is that God is planning for you. But just because God spoke it to you in your heart, that doesn’t guarantee you are going to actually see it in your lifetime. Your future depends a lot on what you do ~ or don’t do. James admonished us, “Show me your faith by your works.” So the element of faith is going to have to enter into the battlefield. It is extremely vital for you to be aware that military engagements are going to occur in your life, and for most of you it is going to happen in the next year and a half.

God’s transfer of wealth does not happen just randomly. The Bible says that there are significant times, periods, seasons, or “years of liberty” that God has chosen to transfer His wealth to you. In the book of Ezekiel, chapter 46, the Lord lays down the legal wording explaining God’s line of transfer of wealth, anointing, and power: “16 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “If the prince gives a gift of some of his inheritance to any of his sons, it shall belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance. 17 But if he gives a gift of some of his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of liberty, after which it shall return to the prince. But his inheritance shall belong to his sons; it shall become theirs. 18 Moreover the prince shall not take any of the people’s inheritance by evicting them from their property; he shall provide an inheritance for his sons from his own property, so that none of My people may be scattered from his property.”’”

It is important that you notice the proper lines of transfer. Never does God allow us to take gifts from His hired servants by force, thrusting them from their property. Instead, all of our gifts must come directly from the Prince (a metaphor for Jesus). This is very important! When God transferred the wealth of Egypt to the Israeli slaves, they did not take possession by force. It was given to them during their spiritual period of liberty.

So it is with you and I. God is going to transfer wealth, healing, and anointing to us in the period of liberty. Prophets all over the world have identified 2011-2013 as the years of liberty, when the Lord is going to bring about the largest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind. I believe this explosive era will be greater than even the Renaissance Period, the years between the 14th and 16th centuries. The rebirth of music, literature, and spirituality that is about to occur, that will bring about this huge transfer or wealth, will be greater than that which occurred in that time period.

As many of you know, the great discoveries of wealth are happening throughout the world. One example is the recent discovery of vast territories of oil reserves in just the United States alone. The deposits are, in fact, more bountiful than those of all the Middle East countries combined. And this is just one discovery! Satan has fought against this discovery with every governmental and media power that he can muster. If we are not careful we can find ourselves siding with satan by allowing negative faithless words to come out of our mouths. Such actions will not stop the overall release of wealth, but we surely don’t want it to hinder the wealth from coming to our families and us.

Jesus told us that the confession of our mouth is “literally life and death”. You must understand how serious this is. In the month of January, Prophet Timothy Snodgrass gave me a prophecy that I was going to become sick and go to the hospital, but that I would recover and would afterwards live a long life in perfect health. The next month I did, indeed, get very ill and was admitted to the hospital. Once there the doctors began a thorough examination of my body to find out what exactly was wrong. I have not shared with anyone what the doctors told me when I was in the hospital, because I believed the confession of my mouth was so important that I dared not repeat any of the things the doctors told me.

Because there is so much weight attached to your words, that even if a doctor speaks death over you, do not confess it! While I was lying there in the hospital, technicians fed a camera up my leg that went through my vein all the way to my heart, in order to photograph the problem in my heart. I was awake when this procedure happened on an operating table. The doctor then said in a somber tone, “Richard, you have a blood clot forming in your heart!”

I knew how serious the doctor’s statement was, but I also knew that God had said, “Nothing is going to harm you and you are destined to have a long life.” So even though the prognosis was life-threatening, I adamantly confessed only the faith the Lord had spoken about my condition. This week my heart was examined again, and I’m happy to say that the blood clot is completely gone and my heart is healthy! (I feel I am now free to speak about the miracle that occurred.) We all must be careful about the words that come out of our mouths.

Many times satan plants tares in our lives, people who desire to annoy us and have us make bad confessions concerning God’s promises. For example, the Lord may have said you are going to get a new job. But when you are transferred to your new location you expectedly run into very ugly situations with people that provoke you. Suddenly out of your mouth come statements like, “I hate this job”, “This is not what I expected”, etc. What you don’t realize is that satan is causing you to lose the battle by the confession of your own mouth. See how really harmful this can be?

In cases where mistakes have been made, you have become linked with difficult people, and problems have become real annoying, you must always remember what God spoke over you in faith. Only confess what the Lord said. Never rehearse the conditions of the situation you are in. Let’s suppose that God told you to marry someone who was previously married and has children. Now you have stepchildren and they begin to cause you problems. It is very important that you do not speak the situation as it appears. Just remember the wonderful promises God gave you before you got married, and continue to confess them in spite of what you are going through.

Jesus warned us that satan would come to sow tares among the good wheat. However, only angels are allowed to remove the tares. If you pull out the tares, you will pull out good wheat. To apply this to the previous example, if you try to stop the influence of the natural parent, you will end up removing the stepchildren from your life. This is why spiritual warfare is incredibly delicate and important.

It is vital that you ask the Holy Spirit to bring all the promises God has made you into remembrance. That way you can pray the promises over yourself every day. This week the prophet Vello Viam came to our church in San Francisco. He emphasized the importance of confessing the prophetic words from God that have been spoken over us. My family and I took Vello’s words to heart and made a special effort to confess only what God has said about our lives ~ not just about the present, but the future as well. Never once can we allow the trials and tribulations that come against us affect our speech.

As you well know, it is so easy for us to just let our tongues go in response to uncomfortable events. The next thing we know, disaster explodes upon our lives. We must continue to confess faith. No matter what the immediate circumstances look like around you, if it is not what God spoke over you, then it is not what you should speak out of your mouth. Your checkbook may be near empty, your bills overwhelming, your health on the brink of disaster, your friends appear to be enemies ~ but still continue to speak what God has promised: “I am wealthy and my bank account is full, I am debt free, my health is pristine, I have more friends than I know what to do with ~ and my future is bright!

God bless you,
