“Moments Of Obedience Are Moments That Last Forever”

Jesus instructed His disciples to, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust does not corrupt nor thieves breakthrough and steal.” For years I have contemplated this word by Jesus, but I never fully understood how you could gain a mansion filled with treasures in heaven.

As I have been learning to pray and obey the voice of God, one day (about a month ago) it suddenly came to me: “The treasures in Heaven are actions done here on earth.” This word was confirmed when I heard stories of people who’d had visions and traveled to Heaven. Also, I read about a true event about young Joshua, an autistic boy who had been taken to Heaven in his sleep.

“In heaven, Jesus and the angels remember everything,” young Joshua typed on his iPad computer, “even the favorite shoes you wore as a young person.” When my family and I heard about his story, the Lord whispered to me, “The moment you obey my voice, even if it is something as simple as buying a pair of shoes, it is remembered in Heaven forever.”

As I have been praying and contemplating how precious obedience is, I have also begun to understand the deeper reasons why God does not want us to share things publicly about everything we pray for. There is a heavenly dynamic of tension that occurs between you and the heavenly host, as they witness what you have done in your obedience. If you do not share it publicly to try to get credit, this dynamic causes pressure in heaven to reward you openly.

We all are well aware of the instruction to keep your giving to others secret, so that your “right hand does not know what your left hand is doing.” This whole dynamic of doing good in secret is so important, because it relates to your obedience to God’s daily instructions. Let me make a note here: prayer is the important activity. Hearing God’s voice regarding doing good actions for others is a whole lot better than your own idea of doing good actions to others. When you bless another person with a God action, it literally creates that magical moment that is going to last forever in eternity.

A Valuable Hour

[Excerpts from prayer on Periscope this week with Pastor Richard]

Last night Prophet Timothy Snodgrass prophesied to us:
“Intercede from the position of wealth. The Lord is going to bring wealth to you.  He’s going to open up the windows of heaven and pour out incredible financial blessings.  It is necessary that you give it away; that you have the spirit of giving come upon you.”

When God brings wealth and we give it away, He gives us more wealth. (It’s exactly the opposite of what the world tells you to do, which is to grab and hold on to it.) This is something I’ve always done and I’ve been criticized for it, but I realize how important it is to give things away. And not only money, it’s not about money. The love of money is the root of all evil so we don’t want to fall in love with money. What we want to do is fall in love with giving things away ~ prophecies, words from God, prayer. Give it all away! You are the wealthiest people in the world!

Lord, help us today Father, to be givers, to obey the prophets, and prosper. That’s what Your word says. Help us to learn to give and to sacrifice. We love you Jesus. You were the ultimate example. It was Your life and You gave it away. You gave everything away. Lord, may we learn to live and to sacrifice! Help us to give it away, as we come into Your glory and into Your mighty Spirit of giving. You have made us wealthy. We pray today from a position of wealth. Thank You Lord for Your goodness, for Your love, for Your grace. Help us to be in a position to give ~ to really enjoy giving to others.  Help every word out of my mouth to be words of encouragement, in Jesus’ name. Lead me, Lord.

This is your day! Do you know the most valuable thing that you have is the word of God that He speaks to you? When God tells you to do something, it might be something simple like saying “Hello”. Those little gifts are treasures.  The Lord compliments in ways that are so encouraging and so wonderful. God gives us wealth, the gold and silver and treasures from Heaven, so we can give to people. God’s love! Hallelujah! God has given such wealth to us!

Lord, You really are our truest treasure. Your daily word is so valuable to us. Your word corrects and guides us, in every direction and in every decision.  There is such treasure in You, such wealth in You. Your provision is always there. Let the glory of Your word, let the glory of Your love come upon our nation, in Jesus’ name! We love you, Lord. Come Jesus, to America. There is nothing like Your love that meets every need we have.

The Bible says that the word of God is sharp, like a surgeon’s scalpel. It shows me how accurate the word of God is in discerning my daily needs, and what I should do. When God gives me a word, it fixes me that day, like a surgeon’s scalpel.  God’s word is that accurate, that pure. It gives us direction every day.

Holy Spirit, flow perfectly in our lives. Help us to go beyond what we can do in the natural.  We don’t want to add to, we don’t want to take away from, we just want to do what You say.  Father, in Jesus’ name, we receive the source of wealth, the Holy Spirit, who brings divine supernatural wealth in family relationships, in love, in caring for one another, in houses, in homes, in jobs, in everything. You are the source of everything, Jesus. Pour Your wealth out on all of us, in Jesus’ name. Help us every day to give the Holy Spirit away with the blessings You are pouring through us, healing, love, wealth ~ Your will be done.

He has poured such wealth on us. Some of you may not see the wealth yet in your bank account. But you’ve got to understand that money is not the source of wealth. The source of wealth is God.   When you enter into God’s divine wealth, it enriches every single aspect of your life. When we obey God we are truly blessed.

There’s nothing like God’s wealth!

Prayer ~ The Great Perfector

Prayer is the greatest personal reaction to the Holy Spirit that any man or woman can have. Its record is internal perfection, if the prayer intercessor is willing to be taught. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit wants to be our Teacher. Oh, what wonderful lessons the Holy Spirit will teach if we are willing to spend the time in intercessory prayer!

The more time I spend in intercession, the more I am amazed at the eloquent patience and time that the Holy Spirit spends in teaching me and perfecting the inner parts of my thoughts and intentions. Remember that Paul says in Hebrews, “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

What Paul is telling us in this Scripture, and what I have personally learned in prayer ~ when you pray and listen, God speaks His word into your heart. This word is quick and powerful, and able to do a surgeon’s job on the internal workings of your heart. The word God whispers to you, and by your actions of obedience, actually cleanses the workings of your innermost feelings. It even exposes the intentions of your heart and separates them from you.

Daily intercession in the Holy Ghost by speaking in tongues opens you up with the faith to receive words from God that you can obey. Your obedience then leads to internal perfection. Oh what joy, oh what splendor, to live in Him!

This is Heaven!

Wow! Can things get any better? I feel such joy, exuberance, and just plain peace. Jesus endured the cross because he looked for the joy that was set before him. Whatever situation you are going through right now, you must not look at the situation; look at the joy that is set before you.

Last week, a great prophetess sent me this prophecy, ” As I was writing this email, I saw this narrow opening, and you were being squeezed through it, and the words came to me: “What a narrow path you have been called to walk upon, but I am with you.” I saw you struggle through this opening, but you made it to the other side. As you looked around you, it looked like the meadow in the movie “Bambi”, so lush, so green, yellow and spring colored flowers blooming all around. There was a sense of peace, beauty and perfection. The words came to me to describe it: “A little bit of heaven.” There were others coming through that narrow space, just a few, and then so many, then multitudes, all enjoying the beauty and serenity. Somehow, God is calling you to blaze a path for others to follow, not as a warrior as you may have been in times past, but as one that walks in heavenly places and makes room for others to follow.

I get the scripture: “Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for the Lord your God is with you.” Share the vision the Holy Spirit has placed in your heart and folks will want to give into the vision.

Until we meet again, may God’s richest blessings overtake you, your beautiful wife and family!!!

Much love, Peggy”

Heaven’s Response Of Answered Prayer

I’ve spent a major part of my life trying to understand how God answers prayer. We all face the same issues when it comes to our prayers. Some are easily answered. Others, though we agonize over them, appear to receive no response, at least not to our satisfaction. Recently in intercession, I have seen the glorious wonder of many prayers being answered instantly, even before coming out of my mouth. What I have learned must be taken in patience, until your senses have exercised the difference between good and evil and you can come to God’s perfection.

When I pray, I picture myself in the court room of heaven, a large stadium. The stands are filled with a cloud of witnesses, the Father is on a throne, and Jesus, (my lawyer) is at His right hand. On the arena floor are the issues which I am presenting before the Lord.

In my own position in Christ, He has asked me not to pray about the issues I am dealing with in San Francisco. Those issues are put under the umbrella of, “God has taken care of every personal issue.” This is a very important part of my heart, mind, thoughts and intents. My heart must be pure when I stand before the Lord in intercession. The Lord has already told me that He has taken care of every outstanding problem in San Francisco; if I bring it up again, I become like the waves of the sea driven and tossed by every wind. As the Word says, “Let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

At first, you might not understand the importance of setting aside the things that God has already answered. Although you see no “proof” of an answer, your yet-to-be-answered prayers are seen daily by that same cloud of witnesses in Heaven. They are  observing the tension caused by the forces of darkness by satan’s fiery darts at God’s anointed leaders. You cannot believe or listen to the words that the media (or sometimes even friends) advise, especially when it comes to making prayer requests before the Lord. I try to listen to the small, gentle voice of the Holy Spirit, which is speaking according to the will of God. When I can verbalize His will in prayer, my prayers are literally answered at the speed of thought.

The hardest issue I have had to deal with is conforming my will to His will. God’s will always turns out to be a better version of life than my will. Imagine a little boy told by his father to do something. He has so much fun doing it, and wants to take credit for the whole idea, although he never even considered it before the father suggested it. This is the phenomenon of answered prayer.

I am learning to pray “Thy will be done”. This alignment of harmonizing with Heaven results in prayers answered at the speed of thought. Do not take what God shows you today, and turn it into resistance against His voice tomorrow. To be consistently in harmony with God, you must be willing to blow with the wind of the Spirit, not knowing where it came from or where it is going. So it is with everyone that is born of the Spirit. Daily innocence in prayer requests and expectations is extremely important and may even determine Heaven’s response. Heaven reads the intentions of your thoughts; those can have as much weight toward your request as your words.

Please pray with me everyday on the Periscope App.

A Call To Prayer

The daily one hour prayer meetings I have with you on Periscope are so enlightening to me. They are also a demonstration of the spirit of unity in the power of prayer. Unity must not only be between each other, but also with Heaven’s will. Every day we are gradually moving our nation towards the goal of having Heaven on earth. No doubt about it, this is an awesome aspiration to attain!
On Tuesday, an incredible phenomenon occurred when we prayed this request: “Lord, will you have the national news media, the President and Congress call out desperately for prayer?” I later asked that everyone who was praying in agreement to turn on their local news station to see if the Lord would answer this prayer.
On Wednesday morning, I woke up to the news of the shooting in Washington DC. The President called off all of his appointments, and asked the nation to pray. The Vice President asked for the nation to pray; Congress met on the baseball field where the congressman had been shot and asked for the nation to pray. All day long on national television, as the amount of violence reported in the media increased, there were calls for our nation to pray. Thursday the call for prayer continued and even went into Friday!
As you can clearly see, God is serious when He answers prayer ~ and the answer isn’t necessarily the way you think it will occur. In this case, God allowed shock in our nation and sorrow to families, but through it all, He called the whole nation to pray.
Thank you for your prayers of agreement. I’ll see you daily around 12 noon on the Periscope App for more prayers of agreement for God to touch this nation.
And to those of you in other nations of the world, this wave of prayer is actually covering your nation as well. I saw in the spirit a huge tsunami wave coming from America going to every nation on the planet. The  wave was flowing with God’s love and is coming to the neighborhood where you live… Let us pray!

“Innocence ~ The New Intelligence”

When the Lord spoke to me in prayer and told me I was a sheep of His pasture, it wasn’t flattering. Instead, I was slightly offended because I considered myself to be intelligent. But the Holy Spirit is very patient in His instruction. After a few instructive incidences, the more often I would approach a situation in lamb-like innocence, this position would actually give my mind more intelligent options!

For example, one day I was standing in Starbucks. Next to me in the line was a man who was obviously homeless, holding a paper sack backpack with numerous eating utensils hanging from its sides. I felt the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit tell me to speak to him. “Well, it looks like you’ve traveled quite a journey to get here!” I said.

He joyfully replied in perfect English, “Many times God will take a short journey and extend it, like Moses did with the people of Israel. Their journey to the Promised Land could’ve been done in three weeks time, but instead it got stretched into 40 years.” He could see by the look on my face that I was taken aback by his statement, so he continued.

“God will make the journey just as long as it needs to be, so that His perfection is done in your life,” he said. I asked him if he needed any money, but he said, “No, I’ve been taken care of,” then smiled and pointed his finger to the sky.

My first mental impression of this homeless guy was that I needed to help him. But in reality, because I approached him in innocence, he ended up helping me. Wow! The discovery of new intelligence brought about by innocence! Later, I contemplated that maybe he had been an angel. But whatever the case, he sure did bless me by that counsel.

I am not talking about just having a “open mind,” but in the sense of making a decision through the processing of these options: if it is based on love, joy, kindness, and of a good report ~ then it is “innocent”.

Any negative, critical, evil, or derisive things are not innocent and I would not consider it to be anything I want to be connected with or listen to. There are many Scriptures in the Bible that go into much more detail in their instructions concerning this process. It would be good for each of us to search them out. Let them become a part of the “learning to be in a sheep” process.

But now comes the real mindblower about intelligence ~ and I mean one’s personal intelligence. The more innocent your approach to the science technology industry, or even the management of one’s household, the more your mind will “throw out the red carpet” to welcome new innovations, discoveries, and all of the things that faith draws to us! But for this process to actually occur, we must first choose to be a trusting sheep of His pasture.

The first thing in this relationship is that we must know the ways of the Good Shepherd. They are the voice of innovation. Learning to hear and recognize the voice of the Father speaking to you is probably the most valuable asset you will ever have as His innocent sheep. For years, many people may have tried to control you. Or perhaps those whom you’ve been in a position to rule over, have spoken against you personally. Instead of wanting you to hear the voice of God for yourself, they prefer for you to go through them.

Please, oh please, hear the melodic tunes of the New Renaissance that is happening in the earth today. I believe San Francisco will be the city of these songs, just like Florence, Italy was the birthplace of the First Renaissance! For this to occur, there must be a group of sheep that truly hear the voice of God ~ whether it goes with or against the grain of current intellectual thought.

Every day, I join in prayer with hundreds of people around the world, to pray that heaven comes on the earth. For this prayer to be answered, we must approach God in the spirit of faith and with hearts of true innocence. Please join us daily for prayer on the Periscope app about 12 noon West Coast time.

“The Reason For Long Intercession In Other Tongues”

Most of my prayer in English is simple, straightforward, and to the point. But it also makes it possible for prayers to be ineffective. This is why the Scripture is so apt to say, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

For years I have spent the primary focus of my life petitioning God in prayer. Some of the revelations I have learned in this process may surprise you. Prayer is not patterned after the petitioning of a judge in court, or asking a king to grant a request. Prayer is more like approaching your father as a favored child.

Even though this relationship may be close and intimate, it still does require the necessary legal file. Liens and applications which a human court would request upon testimony and witnesses are needed before a decision can be applied and a reward awarded. This is where the application of the gift of the Holy Spirit comes into play. The Holy Spirit makes intercession in all of the appropriate legal agendas, according to the will of God, so that your request can be fulfilled.

This is where prayer quickly distinguishes between those that have ineffective answers, and those that have instant at-the-speed-of-thought results. The most important element I have seen in effective prayer is personal introspective honesty concerning yourself, your thoughts, and the intentions of your heart: which can only be deserving by your constant obedience to the daily word of God that is delivered to you, and you obediently do. Remember, the Bible teaches that God does not hear the prayer of sinners, those who are disobedient. This one aspect can actually make all of your time in intercession wasted.

If you are obedient to His daily word, your intercession in other tongues begins to build amazing cases for God’s blessing in your life ~ and to everybody that is connected to you. Praying in tongues literally builds a Supreme Court case that you can present before the Father and the cloud of witnesses in heaven. This access that is obtained through daily obedience is probably for most powerful influential force for blessing that anyone on the planet earth can ever obtain.

God’s Noncoercive Voice

Learning the ways of God requires the full mental capacity of any person that has a desire to reach excellence in human endeavors. One of the key elements for understanding God’s ways is this: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. There is an element of this Scripture which many times goes overlooked. It actually takes some intimacy with God to even be aware of it ~ Absolutely no fear, intimidation, or coercion is present in the actual voice of God.

This aspect of my relationship with God Himself became very important to me this week. I am familiar with the Scripture that says, “you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.” This Scripture reveals an honest characteristic of God’s ways that are completely different than our ways. Usually we judge people by their major faults, but gloss over someone’s little faults. But God is not this way. I took notice of this characteristic in God this week, when I fell down a couple of stairs and found myself sprawled on the ground ~ henceforth needing to spend a few days off my feet recovering.

Three days prior to this incident, the Lord whispered in my heart to do something regarding my finances. When I mentioned this to some of my close associates, they began to reason why I shouldn’t do it at that moment. I listened to their advice and did nothing. I also know that the Scripture says, “Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear His voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness”. The purpose of this word in Hebrews from the apostle Paul is to remind us how important it is to be soft in your heart to hear the voice of God. The day I fell I had already decided to do what the Lord had said.

You may wonder, “Why did you fall after you had been obedient to the Lord, even though it took three days to come to that obedience?” We learn from Isaiah that God’s ways are not our ways. Sometimes He brings attention to things that we normally would not take time to observe. It would be inappropriate for me to share all of the details of how my obedience to Him was fulfilled, but it suffices to say it all involved timing. This was a sign of God’s love to me, and showed me how important obedience to God is on a personal level. He slowed me down to a point to where I could seriously observe and contemplate the importance of obedience, and how noncoercive His voice is.

In the natural, we all know how scary the voice of a person in authority is to us. Most people in authority work especially on their vocal presentation so that it causes coercion in the hearers. God is just the opposite. He is kind, gentle, and above all, full of love. For this reason the fear of God is never generated by God. It must be generated by us ~ respect, awe, and deep yearning for His love. No wonder King David said, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” In the New Testament, Paul expresses it with true yearning of the Spirit, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

These deep expressions to God, put you in a place of security in His loving arms that can never be compared with any other experience in the human realm. Oh, how I love Him!

“Understanding The Mystery Of Blessing “

Many would say there is no mystery in blessing ~ just receive it and enjoy it. But I am acutely aware of how dangerous great wealth and power can quickly become. It is so dangerous that Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” It looks like from what Jesus said, at first glance, that this is simply impossible. But that’s not what He meant, because He went on to say, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

Well, that settles it then ~ Jesus said it can be done. And that’s why I say there is a great mystery in receiving a great blessing. The mystery seems to be in the condition of the person who receives the blessing, and their ability to emulate  the fruit of the Spirit consistently. You can just imagine the situation of complete monetary power, while at the same time trying to emanate the gifts of temperance, patience, and long-suffering. The hardest fruit of the Spirit to find among the powerful and wealthy is patience. This one attribute of God completely confounds me. He, above all things, is patient with me and my mistakes.

I realize that it is possible to be wealthy and to “go through the eye of the needle,” because God does that very thing. This is the mystery: the way to be able to handle great blessing, is to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Every day, when you wake up, you don’t trust in riches, or friends, or anything else. You go back to God and completely trust in Him for everything. You let the fruit of the Spirit guide your every move, your every decision. Suddenly, you are in perfection, and your perfection has nothing to do with the blessings that got you to that point. They only have to do with the presence of God. So your attitude it is determined by your relationship with the Father ~ nothing else!
