Stepping Outside The Camp

“Now Moses used to take [his own] tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting [of God with His own people]. And everyone who sought the Lord went out to [that temporary] tent of meeting which was outside the camp.” Exodus 33:7 AMPC
Moses lived out an ancient example of why God calls His leaders to step outside the hustle & bustle and noise of the world around them. We need to go to a quiet place of meeting to hear the word of the Lord. This is God going into the library of the mind and re-establishing shelves upon shelves of memories. He links the thoughts and intents of man tp God’s heart so he can receive the wisdom of God.
In the last series of long intercessions, the Lord spoke to me about three communication skills He wants to be in every part of my communication to others. Simple though they may seem, you must stay outside the camp to even see them:
Yes’ and no’s: speak the truth in a pure non-confrontational way. If no appropriate communication comes to you, wait silently upon the Lord with Spirit intercession.
No shadow: No shadow of turning in your communication. The shadow refers to doubt, second chances, and option B’s. Any wavering is like being tossed by the waves of the sea. This man shall receive nothing.
Consistency: Be the same person you are in public as you are in private. Simple, but this is the most important foundational principle of your personality.
These communication skills actually become an invitation to the presence of God. And when He begins to visit you suddenly, everything becomes Heaven on earth! So simple, but so valuable.
