The Lord spoke to me in prayer and said these simple instructions, “Place a candle in your window until November 6.” I am very familiar at the power simple obedience can have when we simply obey a word from the Lord. He told me that my little obedience and your little obedience to this simple instruction will cause very powerful things to happen all across America on Election Day.
I am always amazed at the power of simple obedience to what God says. When we traveled through Germany, a tour guide told us Martin Luther felt a word from God to have the German Christians place a candle on the tree in their front yard on Christmas Day, and then invite wayward travelers in to have dinner with them. This simple act hundreds of years ago is the reason millions of trees will be lit this Christmas all around the world, even as far as China.
We as a people are fasting and praying for this election; God said that if we do this simple act, things will change. Already in my daily prayer I am sensing the atmosphere all over America is changing. Wow! The power of simple obedience to God’s word!
