Monday Morning Blog: The Purpose Of Long-Range Prophecy

By Richard Gazowsky

Pride is an incredibly powerful application that runs inside your human interface.  One of the reasons that it draws away so much power is because it is connected to your flesh, and the flesh sucks power from the Holy Spirit. When the pride application runs in others, it is easy to observe and identify.  But when it runs internally inside your own interface it is almost undetectable.  At least that has been my own experience.

The thing that has totally blown my mind is that there is an application that counteracts the work that pride is trying to do for you ~ with much more power and effectiveness.  And that is the application called “meekness”. When you turn meekness on, it literally becomes a magnet for people around you. I want to share my own experience, but this is very hard because it is so embarrassing. Years ago I was invited to speak at a conference where there were many famous people attending, so when I spoke I first listed my accomplishments. I did it with so much pride and over-confidence that at the end of my speech everybody treated me like I had some disease.  It was terrible.

I realized that pride did exactly the opposite of what I thought it would do. Then a few months ago I was asked once again to stand in front of a very auspicious audience.  This time I was determined to say nothing.  The main speaker, a scientist, introduced me and asked me to say something about myself ~ but I remained quiet.  He then listed a few accomplishments I had done but I continued to be silent and let the application of meekness run.  Later people wanting to meet me surrounded me.  Though I didn’t understand it at the time, I began to understand that the application of “meekness” was a magnet.

Through observation I have realized that this fruit of the Spirit, meekness, is much more powerful than I had thought. When coupled with the applications of love, joy, and peace, it actually becomes a potent force that can motivate thousands of people.  It also has the ability to become a “God attractor.”  Of course meekness alone doesn’t do this, and must be coupled with other dynamic applications.

But the real purpose of this blog is to encourage you to turn off the application of pride and turn on the application of meekness.  You will be shocked at the outcome that happens with every relationship, and every instance of communication, when you start involving the application of meekness in your human interface.

The Bible tells us that the ancient leader Moses was the meekest man on earth. Yet the law of Moses, the 10 Commandments, has majorly affected every judicial court on planet earth.  Wow!!  Such power, such influence!  All of this happened because one man learned to run the application of meekness throughout his whole leadership interface. I know most of us have ignored this application in our own lives, and this is because we do not realize that the things we think pride can accomplish, meekness can conquer.

  1. Right away I am going away to do my breakfast, later than having my breakfast coming over again to read additional news.

  2. I believe Richard is showing us through these Blogs of how the fruit of the spirit manifest and grows within our lives using terms and examples that we are used to using this day…It is an attempt to connect with a generation that is used to terms in technology to help illustrate a spiritual truth or reality. Jesus talked frequently in terms of parables of language in his day and this tech talk is great example of modern day parables illustrating spiritual truths and realities that do not contract the word of God but make it understandable.
