For those of you who are not familiar with the term prophetic act it simply means that you hear a word from God to do a simple action that might even appear to be silly. Your act of obeying the word of God releases an incredible saga that usually includes a miracle. This is the method that God has used with His people ever since the beginning of time. Jesus, the son of God, constantly performed prophetic acts. Jesus told servants to put water into pots and it turned into wine. Jesus put mud mixed with his spit on blind eyes and then told the man to go wash it off in the pool of Salome and the man was able to see. Moses threw a branch into water and the water became pure. Elijah threw a branch into a pot and it became edible. Moses lifted up his hands and his army won the battle. The list goes on and on where God simply tells man to do something that requires hardly any effort, but obedience, and God does the rest. Jesus was so adamant about this concept that He said, “The Son can do nothing unless He sees the Father do it first.” Jesus’ life was a collection of prophetic acts.
In the last few years I have learned the power of obedience. Recently I was in Asia and the Prophetess Joy spoke to me in front of a small class and said, “Richard, you have your priorities wrong, the things that you think are insignificant are very significant to God. You must change and be aware of the little words and actions that God tells you to do and obey them.” This radically turned my world upside-down, and I made a commitment to the Lord that I would obey what He told me to do no matter how inconvenient or costly the action might be. I would obey Him even if I did not understand the meaning of what I was about to do. Wow! I was tested on this almost immediately. I was with the prophetess Joy in Japan in 2009, and we were praying concerning a prophecy she had seen concerning a coming judgment coming upon the nation of Japan. My daughter had also seen this judgement in a dream and we were there to pray concerning it. The word had to do with Japan’s water supply. Suddenly Joy turned to me and said, “I see you going back to California and pouring out two liters of water upon the ground as a prophetic act over California. As soon as I got back to California I did the prophetic act. Then week later the Lord spoke through prophet Timothy Snodgrass and told me that there was more to this prophetic act than what I thought. I knew I needed to slow down and listen to God. Through a series of events the Lord showed me that the liters of water were to be poured out in every county in California and it needed to be done by a certain date. This meant that my family and me would have to immediately jump in our car in order to fulfill this prophetic act. It was extremely inconvenient and I did not even understand why we were to pour out the two liters of water. We were only told by Timothy that it was to release the anointing upon every county. We immediately set out for a four day journey to every county in California. It was quite an intense journey. To be honest with you I tried to come up with some reason why we were doing this because I did not fully understand the purpose of our actions, but I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt it was God’s will for me to perform this prophetic act. So, we just went in obedience. Near the end of the journey when we poured out the water in San Diego county there was an earthquake at the same moment and a phenomenon appeared in the sky. Something fell from heaven leaving a long black cloud streaking to the earth. The black cloud looked like satan falling to earth. I have included the picture of the phenomenon below.
This week there was an announcement by Governor Brown, stating the drought in California had ended and all water restrictions in our state had been lifted. California has had so much rain this winter that we now have an abundance of water. The Lord spoke to me and said that the two liters of water we poured out represented a double portion of God’s restorative miracle. Please understand this is only an act of obedience to God and we in California thank God humbly for this blessing. I hope to encourage all of you that have prayed for this miracle and have obeyed God in doing whatever acts He has told you to do concerning California’s water. We just rejoice that God does answer prayer. I hope this blog encourages you to obey God even more in the things that He tells you to do even though they may appear to be insignificant. One single act of obedience to the word of God could result in an incredible saga of miracles.
