Whatsoever He Saith Unto You, Do It

These are the famous words that Jesus’ mother said at the marriage supper at Canaan. And it is the words that the Lord has spoken to me to say to you ~ whatever God says in your heart, be accurate and do it!.
 
This morning when I woke up the Lord told me to go to a certain small town in California and walk and pray down the main street. When I stopped at a place of business on the way, a friend happily greeted us and then reminded us of a story that happened a few months ago when her uncle was miraculously healed of cancer ~ and has now been told that he is completely cancer free!
 
All that the Lord had told me to tell her was to do a prophetic act with salt. She said her brother started laughing and said, “How could salt heal somebody?” She turned to me and said, “Pastor, it is just obeying whatever Jesus tells you to do that causes the healing.”
 
As we continued our conversation she began to share with us how her other relative is now facing a very serious condition and she might lose a certain organ in the body which would need to be replaced. Our conversation then became very serious and I knew it was no accident that we ran into her at this moment. I told her I would pray and if she just does whatever Jesus says to do, it will be taken care of.
 
This was the secret that Mary the mother of Jesus knew about the Lord ~ that God is only interested in you obeying His simple commands. Because the miracle is His work, His responsibility, and His gift to you because of His love for you.  Later that day Rocki and I went to pray. As we were praying the Lord spoke to me so clearly and said, “Just put a blue ribbon around her wrist and I will make the miracle happen.”

“The Secret Of How God Makes You Attractive”

God has blessed me to pastor a church that is full of eligible young people who are primed for marriage, so I am very excited to share this Scripture with you, as it will give you a revelation that will prepare you for the most enjoyable life and marriage that is possible: “Then the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness. Foolish ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.” What Jesus is saying is that when you clean the inside, the outside becomes beautiful automatically.

Oh this is incredible to think that changing your internal self actually gives you a life-long makeover! Believe me, this is not something that you can do by reading some self-help book or taking a professional counseling session. It can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of you ~ which actually makes it easier than any other process developed by man.

The Holy Spirit is the internal software that is programmed into your spirit. When you are filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit, it operates similar to the programing on your smart phone. As you interact with others ~ personally conversing with them, meeting with them, or simply speaking on the phone ~ your internal software of the Holy Spirit can help you to properly respond if you let it.

You activate the Holy Spirit software by praying in other tongues ~ sometimes under your breath while you are at work or busy meeting with others ~ you are silently praying in the Spirit. The amazing thing about the spiritual activity is that it also has incredible side effects ~ but they are not negative. In fact, they are so positive they can remake the outer surface of your body to appear friendly relaxed and youthful!

How amazing is that?

As a pastor in San Francisco I have watched this happen time and time again on the faces of different people who have been in incredibly negative situations, and then have turned their lives over to be completely controlled by the Holy Spirit. Suddenly they look beautiful, happy, casual, relaxed, and best of all enjoying life itself. So it’s time for you to let the Holy Spirit do a makeover on your face by cleansing the thoughts and intents of your heart. When He cleans the inside the outside will be bright and shiny by itself.

Spiritual Lubrication ~ The Hidden Necessity For The Operation Of The Kingdom Of God

For the last two months God has called me to continue days of intercession for the fulfillment of the kingdom of God on earth. In the process He has led me through prayer-walking journeys, interceding, and learning from a God-orchestrated pallet of lessons this week. The Lord led me to the top of Mount Hamilton, where Licks Observatory is located, and I was able to see a short film on the construction of the famous 120-inch reflecting telescope.

The construction of the telescope, from 1934 until 1959, was interrupted by World War II ~ but the war gave many innovations and discoveries that were used in the construction of this incredible telescope. This huge massive telescope has been in daily continuous mechanical operation for over half a century.

What this means is that everything, including the roof the telescope that is larger than a full-length semi truck, has moved continuously, all day every day, for now what is over 60 years. As I prayed in the Spirit contemplating this huge machinery perched on top of this Northern California mountain, God spoke to me about the huge kingdom of God that He is manufacturing in today’s generation.

The process of planning for the telescope’s construction took longer than the actual completion of building, which itself took over 10 years. So it is in the kingdom of God. But the process of planning is not done by architects and engineers, but by apostles and prophets. Twenty years ago, on April 9, 1995, Vello Viam and a group of prophets came to our church in San Francisco and prophesied that a great move of God was coming to the city.

Even more interesting is the fact that 10 years earlier, in 1985, Timothy Snodgrass came to our church and prayed for eight hours. He saw a vision of what is occurring in San Francisco today. No wonder the Scriptures says, “In patience possess your soul”. Waiting is a key element in God building His kingdom.

Every component in the huge telescope is custom manufactured. Not one piece could be bought from a standard hardware store or regular manufacturing supplier. So it is this way with the kingdom of God. Not one person that God is using in His kingdom can be matured by man. They must be custom formed by the hands of God so that they are purified to do the one purpose that He has called them to do in His kingdom.

Parents know when God gives them a child, that the Lord also places in their child’s heart a vision and purpose to be a part of the kingdom of God. There are thousands of purposes that your children can fulfill, and hundreds of “machines” they can become a part of ~ to help whatever visionary they join to raise up something special in the earth.

Of course the key is to match your child’s purity and vision to the vision they become a part of. It took years for the engineers at Lick’s Observatory to test different parts until they were pure enough to perform the task they were needed to do. So it is with you. It may take years for God to develop you so that you are pure enough to perform the task that He needs you to do in His kingdom.

Putting it all together, when this part of the process is completed the telescope will be finished. You won’t know if everyone’s efforts were successful or not, but I discovered that there was an element that was necessary that most people are not even aware of. And that element was oil.

Because this entire structure would be moving consistently for 60 years, never once could they have metal touching metal. Every moving part had to be lubricated completely with oil. Suddenly I saw the importance of the Spirit because it is the Holy Spirit that lubricates every interaction between people with the fruit of the Spirit. No wonder over the last three years God has constantly spoken to me about the necessity of me dealing with every person in my family by the fruit of the Spirit, making sure that never in any instance is there flesh interacting against flesh.

For example, one day I was walking through a mall and suddenly I saw a person was greeting me with carnal words that could punch the buttons in my flesh and cause me to react adversely. Instead, I said nothing and waited for the Holy Spirit to lubricate my words with gentleness, kindness and longsuffering.

When I addressed that person I spoke prophetically and never responded to their comments. Jesus said, “It is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out of him” I knew that the Holy Spirit is designed to lubricate our words so that we can function in the awesome design of God’s kingdom.

The greatest fulfillment that any man on earth can receive is to do and live in the perfect will of God. It is my prayer that this short article inspires you to seek and fulfill your part in the great kingdom of God that He is building on a hill that cannot be hidden.

You’ve Been Given A Smart Bomb In Prayer, Use It

My family ancestors came to America in 1620, right after the Mayflower. I am the 14th descendent of Robert Burrows, a Puritan farmer who came to America, to be free from oppressive land seizures by the English Crown, and to find freedom of religion. This family heritage has made me have more than just a casual interest in the prayer and intercession life of George Washington, our country’s first president. This led me to this true encounter with America’s rich history.
 
In 1779, during the midst of the American Revolutionary War, a Puritan minister was making his way near Valley Forge. Off the side of the road, through the forest, he heard a deep groan and moaning coming from the mouth of a soldier he presumed had been wounded in battle. The Puritan minister knew he could not join in the battle, for he was a conscientious objector who refused to kill another, but he also knew it was his divine assignment to save soldiers’ lives who could be nearing death.
 
At the time Britain had completely outflanked the American forces and America was on the precipice of defeat.  In the Puritan minister’s mind, he was only thinking of helping the poor lost cause and saving a man’s life. When he entered the small clearing he was shocked to see that the soldier kneeling upon the ground was general George Washington, the commander of the American army.
 
The general was weeping, groaning and moaning, and speaking a language that the Puritan minister could not understand. What this Puritan minister saw was the spiritual battle that actually won the American Revolutionary War and birthed this nation. A lesson that history has taught us well, is that the real battle is not fought on the field of war but with the people of God in their intersession in the realms of the Spirit.
 
About two months ago God called me to an intensive time of intercession. In the process I ran into my brother-in-law, whom our family calls uncle Charlie. He is a software engineer and an intensive student of the Greek language, especially as concerning the Bible. I asked him if he would do some research on the biblical word for intercession, and when I saw him this week he told me the Puritan story concerning George Washington. He then mentioned the Greek definition of intercession. It comes from a Greek word, “ὑπερεντυγχάνω hyperentygchanō,” which means, “to come from lofty heights and hit the target dead on.” To put it in modern terms, intercession is a smart bomb.
 
The U.S. military has discovered that terrorists can hide their bombs and missiles in schools, in the midst of innocent children.  That way if the US attacks a school, the terrorists could claim America was intentionally killing innocent children rather than trying to remove terrorists. But today a young computer wiz in Colorado can, through his computer and satellites, direct a drone helicopter that can closely monitor schools in the Middle East. Through the use of facial recognition software terrorists are identified precisely. The U.S. military merely waits until the children leave the school and then destroy only the terrorist and his operation. This is the function of the smart bomb.
 
You and I do not know how to pray as we ought but the Spirit itself makes intercession. When you turn over the sounds coming out of your mouth, the Holy Spirit takes control if you let him run “everything”. This means no action on your part, only obedience:
 
“The Holy Spirit takes control of everything. Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”
 
This is why the apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews the fourth chapter, God is still waiting for us to enter into rest in Him. Faith is the only spiritual element that can usher you in to this level of obedience.
  
Through intercession, which requires faith, you can have access to the cleverness of the Holy Spirit, which is a type of the young computer whiz in Colorado, to wait for the right moment to take out the terrorist. And that is when the innocent people escape and the Holy Spirit removes the offending terrorist problem “surgically,” so no one else is hurt. Only the offending problem is eliminated.
 
Let me now give you the rest of the story concerning George Washington and his intercession that was done in the forest of Valley Forge. At the same time that George Washington was interceding, the king of England was receiving a report that his kingdom had gone bankrupt. The king jumped up from his throne, grabbed the record keeping books, tore the pages out and threw them on the floor!
 
A young sculptor, who was doing a bust of the king, grabbed one of the offensive bankruptcy papers with the king’s seal on it, put it inside the bust of the king, and sent it to America and General George Washington. When the document was discovered and sent to France, she saw England was nearly bankrupt and they joined America and we won the Revolutionary war!
 
Intercession is just like that. It is a spiritual smart bomb that can go in and find the exact target ~ if it is a sickness in your body, a job that is lost, a child that needs to be found, a husband who needs to be located ~ whatever the impossibility is. The Holy Spirit, through the process of intercession, can answer any situation.

Honesty Can Be The Friendliest Word

I have found that an honest word that is spoken at the right place and exactly the right time can be like a child arriving home to their mother’s kitchen with a warm fire glowing and being cuddled in her arms knowing that everything is going to be alright. The reason for this is, honesty wings deep in your spirit and resonates with truths that you have found to be ageless and trustworthy.
The great pop lyricist Billy Joel wrote about this subject in his song “Honesty,” reflecting that it is such a lonely word. But his song was about melancholy sadness, and referred to something precious that was lost. I have found myself humming a different tune that resounds in the major keys of inner rejoicing that swells to victory and personal gain. This is the gift that God’s word and honesty brings to you personally.
Most of you who are well versed in the Scriptures understand the importance of honesty when it comes to the will of God ~ for there is His good will, His acceptable will and His perfect will. Something might be God’s acceptable will, but can become a lifetime of difficulty and trouble ~ the exact opposite from His perfect will. God’s perfect will requires a level of honesty that is as pure as a baby’s mouth against its nurturing mother. The trouble is, if you are a person who has experienced any level of authority and power, it is easy for you to choose a lower level of God’s will by blocking out His voice with cleverly devised made-up confirmations that assure you that the lesser choice was really His perfect will.
Let me take a moment right here and share with you a personal experience. In my years of pastoring and praying for people it has been quite necessary for me to give people honest truth from the Lord. But I am shocked many times when I give them exactly what the Lord is saying and it doesn’t match exactly what they’re wanting. Suddenly they reject me personally and treat me as if I’m an enemy of them and God. But now I realize this is the price that a person who is honest must be willing to pay. It has also caused me to value honest words coming out of someone’s mouth even more.
Ralph Wilkerson is a person that I have found to speak such rich words to me, likewise Timothy Snodgrass and Gershom Sikaala. But even more importantly I have found this quality in my wife Sandy and my children, especially my son Sunny St. Yves Gazowsky. Recently my son spoke to me an honest word of correction over my life. At first the word stung a bit. But then, as I let my walls of resistance melt into the realization of the truth of those words, my eyes were opened and I felt the warm fires of home burning throughout my heart. I knew that this truth would become a bond between my son and I for the rest of our lives.
Honesty is so strong that it becomes the granite foundation upon which empires are built. Without it, words just become a flash in the wind on foundations of sand. To my shock and amazement, honesty is the foundational stone of big money. As an inventor, I have been in many meetings with innovation financers and angel investors. As I watched the entrepreneurs field questions raised by future financers, I was shocked at how honesty was more important to them than the actual innovation. This insight became even more relevant when I dealt with executives in the movie industry. Honesty was what they were looking for first.
I know we all hear tales of backstabbing and cheating in Hollywood. But the stories only make the headlines because of their extreme rarity. In actual reality, most Hollywood executives go home to honest families just like you and I. They don’t even allow their children to watch the shows that they produce! I know for a fact that the true money people and decision-makers of Hollywood are looking for clean fun family entertainment that will fill their box offices. There has never been a greater day and a key moment for you to use “honesty”.

“Don’t Plan, Follow”

One thing that most of us have discovered through experience, is that if it does not come from God it’s completely worthless. But then at the same time we know the danger of operating as a solo act, or even worse when  there is authority over us finding that we’re not in perfect sync with the perfect will of God. What I am clearly talking about is the precious diamond that every visionary person is seeking ~ for the perfect will of God and the perfect authority to protect you.
When I was a young man of about 24 years I learned one of the greatest lessons, that has affected my entire life, from the Chinese teacher “Watchmen Nee”. In his Christian book on spiritual authority he talked about the many classical stories in the Bible ~ where being under authority is very important to success, and not failure, in your life. The lessons that he talked about were so important, and impacted in my life to such a degree, that it has caused me to stay under my mother’s authority until even today when she is 92 years old.
My family and I just completed a tour of Europe where we witnessed the castles and the splendor of rulership over the last 2000 years. We also noticed how men and women learned how to be under authority ~ and because of this were given great authority. But there is another lesson that was a little harder to see.
This is when rulers are under authority, and at the same time are humble and submitted to the presence of God. Those rulers did things that ended up affecting the entire continent of Europe. They were in submission in their personal relationship with Jesus Himself, and Jesus gave them great visions that became the inspiration for we now call the Renaissance.
So we see that it is not just vision alone that is important. There were leaders like Louis XVI, who had great vision but it did not include a personal relationship with Christ ~ and it resulted in the French Revolution. We know that true visions come from God. Yet we also realize that new wine, lasting visions cannot be done single-handedly but require a group effort. That’s why our church, “A Place To Meet Jesus,” must submit to visions from God as a group effort as we see the next Renaissance unfold around us. And hopefully the world will join in and open up the doors to even colonize outer space!
Apostle Paul wrote these powerful words: “All this energy issues from Christ: God raised Him from death and set Him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from His rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which He speaks and acts, by which He fills everything with His presence.”
Obviously the vision that God has given us is so great it is impossible for us to achieve it in any manner by ourselves. For this reason we must take these instructions given to us in the Scripture to heart: “Go to now, ye that say, ‘To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain’: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, ‘If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.’ But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
God is about to lay out and uncover the great visions of the future for us. But let us not start drawing up schedules and plans based on what we see in the future, but instead follow follow, FOLLOW, FOLLOW His presence!

Casual Meetings Can Be Epic Appointments

I want to share with you something that is very personal, and I know by doing so it makes me vulnerable to people trying to take advantage of my outlook on this subject. But in spite of this, I feel I should talk to you openly about this area. The more sensitive I am becoming to the presence of Jesus in my life, the more aware I am becoming concerning the importance of meetings I have with other people ~ even if they appear to be casual or even accidental.
 
Each day I’m becoming more alert to the spirit world around me ~ of spiritual warfare, God’s angels, and other people’s prayers ~ and how they interact regarding meetings I am having with people. It’s almost as if I can see a divine concierge service that is programming the schedule of each day. (Of course this requires me to pray and seek God’s presence at the beginning of the day.)
 
Take this morning for example. My family and I called a cab to take us to an appointment. When I got in the seat beside the driver he immediately began talking about the Lord. Since I had never met him before he had no clue we were ministers. As our conversation continued the Lord spoke to me and said, “Ask him if he needs prayer for anything.” When I did this the cab driver got very serious and said his son was an alcoholic and needed salvation. As we continued towards our destination the Lord spoke to me and said, “Give him the scarf that you are wearing around your neck.”
A brother in the Lord, Paul Orth, gave me the scarf over a month ago and told me that he felt it was prophetic. Now I knew the reason why. The scarf was to be given to this young man’s son and when he put it on he would be delivered from alcoholism. When we arrived at our destination I shared all of this with the man, and then I took his picture so I could continue to pray for him. I realized that this divine appointment had been set up over a long period of time and I had just experienced it as a casual meeting.
 
I’m beginning to comprehend that God’s divine guidance is daily setting up incredible events for me, and many times I have just walked by these meetings because I wasn’t aware of the real significance of what was going on in the spiritual world around me. I believe that heaven is waiting for us to realize how important each meeting is. And the more we realize it, the more heaven will pay attention and set up wonderful divine appointments for us!

Resting… The Best Way To Receive Dreams

Dreams are something that God gives you when you sleep. When you wake up, your normal response is to do something during the day that will cause your dream to come to pass. I am learning that nothing could be further from the real truth.
 
I first must make it clear that there are, I believe, three types of dreams: pizza dreams (that you should just forget about); warning dreams that make you aware that you might have to do something to make sure the negative does not occur; and positive faith-building dreams that talk about the incredible future God has got planned for you.
 
The last type is the area of dreams I’m referring to. Years ago whenever I had a dream, I thought my task was to immediately go out and use all of my effort to fulfill the dream myself. I was even counseled by some elders that appeared to be very wise men, that if I didn’t respond extremely fast nothing would come to pass. I have since learned that their counsel that was born out of their own anxiousness, plus a little foolishness. I have come to understand that God does not have to hurry or rush to get anything done because He controls “time itself.”
 
No wonder Hebrews, the fourth chapter, says, “For as long, then, as that promise of resting in Him pulls us on to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified. We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn’t do them a bit of good because they didn’t receive the promises with faith. If we believe, though, we’ll experience that state of resting. But not if we don’t have faith. Remember that God said,
‘Exasperated, I vowed,
“They’ll never get where they’re going,
never be able to sit down and rest.’”
 
The point of the Scripture is very simple and direct. When God gives you a dream, it is a word from Him and He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of the fulfillment of that dream. All you have to do is rest and wait for His fulfillment to be done ~ and that requires faith.
 
Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for. If you already have them, then you don’t need faith. So waiting for the miracle that you saw in the dream that God gave you is the joy of resting. Just learn to have patience and allow that dream to be wonderfully fulfilled!

If I Wrote A 200,000 Page Book On How Wonderful You Were Today, It Wouldn’t Be Enough

Coming out of sleep this morning, before I even opened my eyes, a negative thought came to my mind, then a bad feeling. Immediately I held my mind from any continued thinking and I remembered the Scripture “gird up the loins of your mind.” When I finished rehearsing the Scripture for the third time in my mind, I felt the ache in my body that had caused me, in my half slumbering state, to question, “Why do I feel so stiff?”

Then I groggily remembered that in my prayer walks this last week my iPhone had recorded 80,000 steps ~ which meant I had walked 36 miles. No wonder my muscles were sore! That is what is so wonderful about You, Lord. I began to quietly whisper a prayer, “God, not only do You want to talk to me and walk with me, but You also inspire me to exercise!”

I began to thank the Lord for a moment, cuddling like a little puppy, for the wonderful things He has already shown me. They were so wonderful that they were really making me giggle. But I lay there quietly under the sheet. I did not want to disturb anyone as I sensed it was still early. Mind you, I still had not opened my eyes and I didn’t even know if there was sunlight yet. But I was so excited about God’s favor that had been shining on me all week long. I truly must be the richest man in in the world ~ I mean richest with double R’s!

We all know that the word of God says, “For the Lord maketh rich and adds no sorrow with it,” but I was lying here actually experiencing the true riches of God. My wife Sandy, the most kind and beautiful young woman in the world, was sleeping beside me. My three lovely children Rocky, Misty, and Sunny always share with me their rich experiences with the Lord. Their revelations are so beautiful and revelatory that not only are they deepening my own understanding, but they are explaining to me even deeper revelations that I never before could see. I am amazed that my own children have become so deep in the Lord.

Quietly I continued to pray, “Jesus, what You have done to my family has been so phenomenal that even strangers when they see us, stop me and gave praise to You, Lord. Yes! You, Jesus! One elderly woman from the church of England whispered to me, “Last night I spoke to my husband after I saw your family, and said, “Look at them, that family there. They are people of faith. I know it’s because they have a deep relationship with Jesus and that’s why they look that way.” When she told me that, I could see in her eyes how much she loved You, Jesus, and how much she was so glad that You took the time to help and love our family. To tell You the truth Jesus, the whole world loves You!”

At this point I started to cry ~ and I still hadn’t yet opened my eyes! I was lying down on the bed contemplating the wonderful things that You did, Jesus. This was the first few seconds of the day. I really don’t know if there’s a book big enough to contain all the wonderful things that God wants to do for all of us every single day. What I do know is that this day, yes this very day, will go down in my personal history as a long book of wonderful things You have done for me today.

It is my dream and vision that every one of you who read this blog will find a rich relationship with Christ ~ so that every day is a 200,000 page book of the wonderful things that He does for you too!

Love – The Key To Future Innovations

Ancient folklore history tells us of a tale where love for one woman was so passionate that it caused an auspicious and powerful king to launch 10,000 ships into a 10-year battle for Helen of Troy, which resulted in the innovation of the Trojan horse. For thousands of years the sages have told the story in the context of “passion.” But I present the case that it is also a story of “innovation.”
Innovation is an elusive goal that has frustrated countless enterprising entrepreneurs who have tried to discover major breakthroughs that would turn what most people considered problems into momentous answers.  Let’s take a moment and consider how we deal with innovation powered by love. For the numerous examples below, I’m going to use nonrelated fields of endeavor.
 
Mark Zuckerberg, the innovator of Facebook, was a young sophomore at Harvard University when he launched his world-changing company Facebook. He was a computer nerd who had a love and passion for people to be able to network together. This coupled with his seat-of-the-pants knowledge of computer programming, led to the technography that gave us worldwide social interaction through the use of computers. This also made Zuckerberg a billionaire 35 times over (at last count).
 
As you can see, finding the answer to our most popular needs also has great rewards. But there is the elusive expense that appears to come with every great innovation. I’m not writing about or considering any of the previous examples as negatives. Instead I am looking at the word of God that says, “The Lord maketh rich and adds no sorrow with it.”
 
The only way that this seemingly impossible objective can be achieved is through the power of innovation through love. All of the great industrial leaders in society used love to release creative innovation in their minds. But usually it was just focused on one part of the passion of love. They didn’t fully understand how wonderfully complex love really is. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
 
You see this is the first Scripture that describes how love is a fruit and that it comes with incredibly powerful attributes, such as longsuffering, which is filled with temperance that gives you the ability to have patience to perfect its work in your innovation. Each one of these varieties of the fruit of love carries with it the perfecting qualities to help you to achieve wealth with no sorrow.
 
This morning I was talking with an older gentleman who races “C class” cars. He was telling me that he is trying to achieve just one-second faster speed on the track, but he believes it is impossible because of his age. He has added more horsepower and all kinds of improvements to his cars, but he still hasn’t been able to achieve that elusive one-second advantage. As I was talking to my son, Sunny, he mentioned to me how a Formula One car is actually a wing with an engine on it because it uses the power of wind to keep the car on the track.
 
My son discussed with me how the engineers that built these Formula One cars had to think out of the box, using airflow instead of weight to keep the car in proper control when traveling at speeds of over 200 miles an hour. When approaching a problem such as this (which I know absolutely nothing about) I realized that it is the power of God’s love in its purity that gives the complete answer. A complete answer means that every single aspect of the problem is answered ~ from the driver’s qualifications, to the driver’s safety, to the driver’s ability to receive the reward of victory.
 
Innovation that is powered by God’s perfect love has a completeness to it that satisfies every aspect of the need itself. To understand the powerful implications in this proposal ~ is to comprehend the big picture that is being played out on planet earth. God Himself created this planet, and all innovation that occurs on earth emanates from His son Jesus Christ. This is not anything that I have made up, but is clearly spelled out in the Scriptures: “All this energy issues from Christ: God raised Him from death and set Him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from His rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church.”
 
So what I am saying is that God is “love” and if you want to plug into any innovation that is going to actually count on this planet, and also if you want to enjoy the wealth that comes from this innovation, it is absolutely necessary for you to become a student of God’s perfect love. 
 
Every aspect of God’s love will release innovations into your world. Yes, Henry Ford was not a born innovator. It was his love for auto manufacturing that led him to so many inventions. But he also had problems. And the list goes on and on… I personally feel that a new Renaissance is beginning in the world today, and this Renaissance will lead to innovations that are powered by the fruits of the Spirit, which emanate from love itself. Remember, the Scripture says that God is love.
 
Which brings me back to my first point, that love brings about a passion that releases innovation. Greater love has no man than this that he would lay down his life for a friend. God gave His only begotten Son. Think about it, contemplate on how great is God’s innovation in planning your and my salvation. This passion is so complete that it makes God Himself rich in His possession of the innovators that He has passionately created.
 
Wow! It’s a vision that is so big it can take your breath away. And it’s something I want to take my time to contemplate in the realm of the Spirit. “Jesus, would You please release Your love in me completely ~ to where I can embrace all the attributes of love ~ such as longsuffering.”
